We are registered in England and Wales under company number 01984336 and have our registered office at 50 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3DP, United Kingdom, which is also our main trading address. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”).

BEP is an online platform for the academic/institutional market that comprises more than 6,500 biographical articles on significant intellectual thinkers from Anglo-American, Continental, Asian and Islamic traditions. The content was originally published in a series of biographical dictionaries, including titles such as The Dictionary of Twentieth-Century British Philosophers, The Biographical Encyclopedia of Islamic Philosophers, and The Dictionary of Modern American Philosophers. BEP content is be sold as a single package to academic institution on a subscription basis. BEP content has been enhanced by Bloomsbury through extensive indexing and cross-linking, and the creation of a Timeline of Thinkers.
Institutions will enter into Institutional Licence Agreements directly with Bloomsbury and billing for such access will be undertaken by Bloomsbury.
